1. Scope of Agreement
1.1 These Terms of Use (the “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and us (“Developer”) governing your access to and use of the mobile application Daily Bible Verse: Prayer (the “App”).
1.2 By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement and our Privacy Policy.
1.3 If you do not agree to any part of this Agreement, you are not authorized to access, download, install, or use the App. Please stop using and uninstall the App.
2. Modifications
2.1 We may update this Agreement from time to time. Updates take effect when posted by updating the “Last Updated” date or otherwise made available in the App or on our website.
2.2 Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
3. Eligibility
3.1 You must be legally able to enter into this Agreement in your jurisdiction.
3.2 You represent that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and platform rules.
4. App Functionality & Usage Rights
4.1 Daily Bible Verse: Prayer provides Bible verses, prayer reminders, devotional prompts, favorites, themes, app icons, widgets, notification settings, and related faith-based features for personal reflection and inspiration.
4.2 The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. It is not intended to provide professional religious, medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice.
4.3 The App may allow you to save verses, prayers, favorites, notes, reminders, themes, widget preferences, and other local content. You are responsible for your saved content and settings.
4.4 Local data may be deleted if you delete the App, reset your device, change device settings, or experience device/software issues. We recommend keeping your own backup of any information important to you.
5. Intellectual Property License
5.1 You agree to respect all intellectual property rights in the App, including source code, designs, user interface, graphics, text, trademarks, content, and other materials owned by us, our partners, or licensors.
5.2 Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App on your personal Apple device.
5.3 You may not copy, redistribute, publish, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, create derivative works from, rent, lease, sell, or commercially exploit any part of the App except as expressly permitted by law.
5.4 Bible translations, quotations, and related devotional materials may be subject to separate copyrights, licenses, and usage rules. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
6. User Conduct
6.1 You agree not to use the App for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or unauthorized purposes.
6.2 You agree not to interfere with the App, bypass security measures, misuse subscriptions or purchases, attempt unauthorized access, use automated scraping, or exploit the App in a way that harms us, users, Apple, or third parties.
6.3 You are responsible for any content, preferences, reminders, notes, feedback, or other information you submit, save, or create through the App.
7. App Availability & Requirements
7.1 The App requires a compatible Apple device and operating system. Some features may require internet access, notification permission, widget support, App Store access, or other device permissions.
7.2 We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, compatible with every device or OS version, or available in every region.
7.3 We may update, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
8. Fees & Subscriptions
8.1 The App may be free to download and may offer free features. Some features, content, themes, widgets, app icons, or other benefits may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.
8.2 Subscription pricing, billing cycles, trial availability, renewal terms, and included features are displayed in the App or App Store purchase flow before purchase.
8.3 Payments are charged to your Apple ID through Apple App Store after purchase confirmation. Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, according to Apple’s rules.
8.4 You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
8.5 Refund requests must be submitted through Apple’s official process, such as reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot directly process App Store refunds or control Apple’s refund decisions.
8.6 We may change pricing, subscription offerings, trial eligibility, or paid features from time to time, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
9. Third-Party Services
9.1 The App may rely on third-party services, including Apple services, analytics, attribution, diagnostics, crash reporting, hosting, payment, notification, or support providers.
9.2 We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, content, policies, data practices, or performance. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Disclaimer
10.1 The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” at your own risk.
10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, uninterrupted operation, and non-infringement.
10.3 Devotional, biblical, prayer, reminder, or faith-related content is provided for general personal reflection and inspiration. You are responsible for how you interpret and use such content.
10.4 Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App except as required by applicable App Store rules or law.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, subscription issues, service interruption, device issues, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to your use of the App.
11.2 Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscription during the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
11.3 You acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for claims related to the App, including product liability claims, regulatory claims, consumer protection claims, privacy claims, or intellectual property claims, except as required by applicable law.
12. Legal Compliance
12.1 You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country or region subject to applicable embargoes or sanctions and are not on any prohibited or restricted party list.
12.2 You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your use of the App.
13. Third-Party Beneficiaries
13.1 Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple has the right to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
14.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction selected by the Developer, excluding conflict-of-law principles, unless your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
14.2 Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by written notice and good-faith negotiation.
14.3 If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
15. Termination
15.1 You may stop using the App at any time.
15.2 We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate this Agreement, create risk or legal exposure, misuse the App, or use the App in a harmful or unlawful manner.
15.3 Termination does not automatically cancel App Store subscriptions. You must manage subscription cancellation through your Apple ID subscription settings.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 You may not assign or transfer this Agreement without our prior written consent.
16.2 Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right or provision.
16.3 This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented in the App, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
